Bio:
Per-Olof Ström (born 1942), also known as Peo Ström, is a Swedish designer who graduated from Konstfack in Stockholm in 1966. In 1967, he joined Alsterfors Glassworks, where he developed a distinctive design language characterised by sculptural silhouettes, bold colours and experimental glassmaking techniques. His innovative glass designs gained considerable popularity between 1968 and 1970 and had a significant influence on Swedish glass design. Following the closure of Alsterfors in 1972, Ström worked in lighting design for IKEA and his own company, Aspeqt. His glass creations are now regarded as characteristic examples of Swedish glass design from the period.
