Bio:
Danish and Swedish studio ceramics of the 1980s were characterised by a strong interest in individual expression, experimental glazes and sculptural forms. Ceramic artists frequently explored contrasts between raw and glazed surfaces alongside different firing techniques. Miniature vases were created as independent works of craftsmanship, with form, material and glaze playing central roles. Signed pieces from this period are now sought after by collectors of Scandinavian studio pottery.
