Round bronze dish in Art Deco style with a broad, profiled rim and an engraved mermaid motif surrounded by stylised plants. The surface has a warm, golden tone with patina. Model B96.

Bio:
Just Andersen (1884–1943) was a Danish sculptor, silversmith and designer, born in Godhavn, Greenland. He trained as a decorative sculptor and later studied at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts’ sculpture school. In 1918, he founded the Just Andersen company with his wife Alba. He is particularly known for his sculptural functional objects in bronze, pewter and Disko metal, an alloy he developed and named after Disko Bay.
