Bio:
Kähler was founded in Næstved in 1839 by Herman Kähler. Under his son, Herman August Kähler, the workshop became an internationally recognised producer of art pottery, known for experimental glazes and artistic collaborations. Associated artists included Svend Hammershøi and Kai Nielsen. The initials HAK became the workshop’s distinctive mark and continued to be used by subsequent generations.
